    I can’t wait to see this either. At first I was skeptical when they announced Robert Englund wouldn’t be back, but I have faith in Haley. And from what I’ve heard, this movie will be more serious and brutal than the previous ones.

    But Chris! Michael Bay is associated with this masterpiece of ‘unoriginality’!!! Plus the director is a music video director(his credentials are somewhat decent, though); with the exception of Fincher, Romanek, and Jonze, most of these guys are just “STYLE(hot chicks, oiled skins, lack of character)” over SUBSTANCE, especially with Bay helming this. Sorry, I think I smell Friday the 13th/Texas Chainsaw Massacre all over again…

    P.S: Although I agree Earle Haley is a great choice, leave this franchise be!

    I like to fool myself and pretend that there are no remakes. I forget about the original, watch the new one and just continually say to myself “this movie seems familiar”.
    Usually, when you later watch the original again, it gives you such a greater appreciation for it.

    Believe me…as you all know, I’m a huge opponent of both Michael Bay (even in producer form) and remakes…but there’s something magnetic and inherently creepy about Jackie…and that gives me a gory glimmer of hope.
