I cannot WAIT for this film.  Spike Jonze, Dave Eggers, plus a passionate endorsement from the original book’s author, Maurice Sendak.

Add this to the early list of 2009 Best Picture nominations along with The Hurt LockerUp, and Ghost of Girlfriends Past (just wanted to make sure you were paying attention).

Special thanks to our man, Oren Arbit, for letting us know about this!

Is it weird that the trailer makes me cry? It must be the Arcade Fire song and the HOPE line that did me in.

It made me a little misty a la Ella Fitzgerald when I saw it too. I absolutely love this sneak peek. What an incredible set that must’ve been to work on…

Oh man I can’t wait for this film!! Since I heard about it and saw the trailer I’ve been counting down the days. I hope it’s gonna be good. With Spike Jonze at the helm, it should be great.

I am usually very skeptical of trailers but this looks so amazing that I have nothing but childlike excitement for it. The fact that Sendak is behind it leaves no doubt that it will be great.

Saw this on I09 yesterday, great idea to roll it out this way instead of just a trailer. Although, can’t wait to see a straight trailer too. Spike is out there enough to make this rule!!!

Where The Wild Things Are is probably the movie I’m most excited to see this Fall.

I saw the trailer for this at Harry Potter last weekend. I actually said “NO WAY” right out loud when I saw those funky pajamas. I think my bf about fell out of his seat since I’m always shushing him at the movies (yes, even during the trailers. I’m neurotic I know).

I’m trying not to get too excited, but man I’m friggin’ excited!

I’ve never read the book, but the trailer looks interesting. I was a little put off by the Juno-esque title cards, but unlike other films that have used it, this one seems as though it might actually work.

Isn’t it great that he is so supportive of Jonze and that he is letting it go, and become something new! I love this. Thanks for posting it. I feel better now.

It just better not piss me off!

    That boy looks perfectly cast.

I can just about guarantee that Spike Jonze will provide an experience that is anything but Juno-esque.
