Believe it or not, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a fantastic film.
Funny, fresh, original, inventive, and smarter than your average Shrek, this family comedy works on many levels. If you’re a fan of Andy Samberg’s SNL Digital Shorts, then you’ll appreciate the obscure humor that they managed to inject into this animated gem.
Don’t believe me? Fine.
Just take a look at the embedded promotional clip above and I’m sure you’ll see, this is a clear departure from the formulaic studio CG fests. And after you see it, shoot me an email so I can say, “Told ya so, pardner.”

Can’t wait to see the film! The trailers they showed in theaters drew me in. It looks great.
Wow, that is hilarious! I love hearing the wilhelm scream twice (along with the “Street Fighter” cry) and the “Hancock” reference is so random that I laughed my ass off. I will have to check this flick out.
Got 2 love Andy Samberg! He’s the man! And the Lonely Island Rocks 2!
did anyone catch the skit that andy samberg wrote? I heard it while I was watching it tonight and thought “damn, that sounds like an andy skit” but I didn’t even know he was in the movie until the credits rolled. Its bugging the hell out of me and the 3 ppl I went with to see it didn’t catch it.
to clarify, I know he was the baby guys voice. I’m trying to figure out which skit was his. It sounded exactly like his music.
