I stumbled into this SUS bullshit on day one. No joke. Since then, I’m pretty sure I listened to every podcast – in spite of myself. Usually while I’m working on a particularly difficult stool. I’ll be harmed if I know which of us is the bigger idiot. No, wait, it’s me.

I will pledge as long as we’re promised at least one commentary track and some good ‘making of’ video on the DVD! This is a doc that is WAY overdue. Calvin and Hobbes is the most underrated comic EVER.

i haven’t read enough yet on this (so excuse me if i make an ignorant question)
but didn’t Mr. Watterson strictly not want Calvin and Hobbes to be commercialized in any form?
I’m sure this might be more than just some dumb movie adaptation of the beloved strip
but I feel excited yet somewhat reluctant about this.
anyway
i’m sure you guys are fans yourselves and i know you are respectable people and i probably need to do more reading on this project
but still!
just getting curious

First I have to say that I have loved the Scene Unseen podcast. In fact, I only bagan listening a few months ago but have already listened to the entire archive of shows (I love the years in review btw).

Calvin & Hobbes has always held a special spot in my heart. I, like many others, have all the books and grew up reading the comic in the paper. I still have in storage somewhere a cut-out of the final full page news article my local paper did and the final published comic the day Mr. Watterson retired.

Wow, this project sounds very, very cool, Chris. I am not entirely familiar with “Calvin and Hobbs” but I am going to make a financial investment in this film based solely on the passion that you and the director seem to have for it. Count me in!
