I don’t know if I’m in my right mind for posting something like this, but I will leave it to all the Marc Forster leg humpers to decide. Blofeld (I mean Forster) directed and acted (two careers he should reconsider) in this short film for Swiss International Airlines titled, LX Forty. It seems like this is Forster’s attempt to tell the world how much more he knows about the world just because he flies First Class. What about the rest of us stuck in economy buddy!?

Forster collaborated with MK12, the company that saves all Forster films from falling on their face, to create the visually stunning animation for this piece. The main site also has the Behind the Scenes Documentary and, of course, the Marc Forster Documentary, surprise surprise. Next time, perhaps Swiss Air should reconsider their definition of an “airline commerical” before they decide to hire Marc Forster to direct it.

The late Bob Peak was responsible for revolutionizing the world of film advertising with his beautiful artistic collages which helped promote some of Hollywood’s biggest films. He designed over hundreds of posters for the motion picture industry including Apocalypse Now, My Fair Lady, Star Trek, and Excalibur to name a few, and also designed many covers for TV Guide. I would advise anyone in the SoCal area to check out the Bob Peak: Father of The Modern Hollywood Poster Exhibition at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California (June 6 – June 25).

Days after Disney wowed Cannes audiences with 10 minutes of 3D footage and a promo clip for Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming performance capture film, A Christmas Carol, the Disney marketing machine proved itself again by unveiling Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour.

The train kicked off Memorial Day Weekend at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, and will travel to 40 U.S. cities across the country. The locomotive’s interior showcases footage from the film, behind-the-scenes material, and a demonstration of performance capture technology. Now that’s one hell of an idea for a marketing campaign if I’ve ever seen one!

The film, starring Jim Carrey, is set to open November 6, 2009.

For more pictures of the train click here.
