A Christmas Carol Poster

Days after Disney wowed Cannes audiences with 10 minutes of 3D footage and a promo clip for Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming performance capture film, A Christmas Carol, the Disney marketing machine proved itself again by unveiling Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour.

The train kicked off Memorial Day Weekend at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, and will travel to 40 U.S. cities across the country.  The locomotive’s interior showcases footage from the film, behind-the-scenes material, and a demonstration of performance capture technology. Now that’s one hell of an idea for a marketing campaign if I’ve ever seen one!

The film, starring Jim Carrey, is set to open November 6, 2009.
